Dealership Update: We're extending our hours

At FX Caprara Motorcycles, FX Caprara Harley-Davidson® and Caprara Brothers, we continue to work with state and local officials on the process to resume and recover.

Beginning Monday, May 18, we will be open Monday through Friday from 9am till 6pm, and Saturdays from 9am till 4pm, closed on Sundays.

With that being said, because our showroom is considered a retail establishment, the store itself is still closed to the public. Service and Vehicle Sales will continue to be by appointment only -we will conduct operations outside for viewing, pick-up and drop off. Parts and General Merchandise can also be picked-up outside -we can arrange payment over the phone and bring out your order once you arrive.

Some other things to note:

  • New York State Motorcycle Inspections: As per the NYS DMV website, inspections have been extended until further notice. So you don't have to worry about it right now -just get out and ride! We still encourage you to perform your own T-CLOCs inspection though, just to make sure you're all set and ready to go. Don't forget your tire pressure!!
  • Riding Gear and Motorclothes: You can shop online, and if you'd like to see if we have what you're looking for, just click on 'FIND IN A DEALERSHIP' (see this e-newsletter to see how). Then give us a call and, similar to the Parts Dept., we can take payment over the phone and bring it outside to you. As long as you know the size and style you're looking for, we can do that for you. At this time we cannot allow you into the showroom to try on clothing or helmets.
  • Helmets: Again, if you know the size you're needing and style you want, we can arrange for you to pay for the helmet over the phone and then bring it outside to you. However, we highly suggest waiting until a time when you can come in, shop, and try them on. That's because of the way helmets fit -your head circumference is just one measurement! There's also from your forehead to the base of your skull and from ear to ear, and helmet manufacturers have to generalize all that down to an 'average' that fits most people. And different manufacturers will fit differently, so you might be a 'Large' in a Biltwell, and a 'Medium' in a HJC. So, taking all that into account, we believe it is in your best interest to wait if you're unsure about which helmet fits you best.

As always, our first commitment is to the safety and well-being of our customers, employees and their families. We thank you for your patience, understanding and support as all of us adjust and get through this. Your dedication and passion for Harley-Davidson® and our dealership are not taken for granted. We greatly look forward to the time, hopefully soon, when we can all gather together again.
